I am a Consultant in Public Health Medicine. I trained in public health in 2020-25 the West Midlands with rotations across Coventry City Council, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, West Midlands Health Protection Team (UKHSA), and the Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC).

The early part of my training was dominated by the frontline COVID-19 pandemic response. Later, the highlight of my training was acting as the regional smoking cessation and tobacco control lead for DHSC for 20 months, spanning two governments and including the launch and regional implementation of the Smokefree Generation initiative.
